- It IS in Tower Blocks UK, as block L1407 in development ‘Wandsworth Stadium redevelopment, Stage II’, with the architect field blank. Contractor W. Willett. ORIGINAL COMMISSIONING AUTHORITY WANDSWORTH LONDON BOROUGH COUNCIL. Stage I of the same redevelopment is Albon House L1405, Edwyn House L1404 and Knowles House L1403, each 21 storeys and 72 dwellings. THIS KILLS AN INFERENCE: because the block was commissioned by the borough and not by Arndale Property Trust, J. Seymour Harris & Partners - architects of the Wandsworth Arndale Centre 1966-71, per Building Our Past - cannot be assumed to have designed the tower above it. Likely author is the Wandsworth Borough Architect’s Department; that is an inference.
