NO ARCHITECT IN THE ACM CHAIN. Waterman Partnership, Essendi’s engineering consultants and ‘professional design consultants’, recommended complete replacement of the panels and ran the procurement. WEATHERWISE took a JCT design and build contract as a deed on 23/05/2005 ‘for the completion of the design and the supply and installation of replacement cladding’. CGL Systems supplied the Reynobond. PC 26/05/2006
Litigation
Essendi UK Hotels 2 Ltd v London Property Company Ltd [2026] EWHC 1354 (TCC). Para 56: ‘There is no suggestion that a fire safety engineer was instructed, either in relation to the original construction works or the cladding contract works.’ Note also that the west elevation abutting Mahatma Gandhi House up to 10th floor slab was deliberately left unclad and sealed with flashing
